Our History
Increasing the warmth and beauty of Rochester homes since 1957
Fireplace Fashions began in 1957 as a local greenhouse and garden shop owned by Rochester natives Chuck and Gloria Lewis. They started by adding glass fireplace enclosures and accessories, and as time went on, they added more fireplace and hearth products. In the 1970s, Chuck and Gloria recognized that the Rochester area could benefit from a hearth specialty store, so they converted the greenhouse and, since then, sold and installed anything from glass enclosures, wood stoves, gas fireplaces, and everything in between.
Chuck and Gloria were the owners and operators of fireplace fashions until their passing in 2011 and 2014. The company is still family-owned, and many employees have worked here for over 20 years. One thing that Fireplace Fashions has always taken pride in is that we employ all of our installers and service technicians. We don’t use subcontractors. This means that the people coming into your home are specially trained in the products they are installing or servicing.
